LEC2 – FPGA Training & Video Platform

The Challenge

PLC2 GmbH, in cooperation with Lattice Semiconductor, needed an online learning platform for FPGA development training. The platform had to support video-based courses, allow users to purchase and book training sessions, maintain a personal library of enrolled courses, and provide a seamless learning experience. The solution required secure payment processing, video streaming capabilities, and user account management with progress tracking.

Our Solution

We developed LEC2 as a full-featured e-learning platform using WordPress and PHP for rapid development and content management flexibility. The platform features a course catalog with detailed training descriptions, secure payment integration via Stripe for course purchases, video streaming for on-demand training content, and a personal library where users can access their purchased courses. We implemented user authentication, progress tracking, and certificate generation upon course completion.

The Result

The LEC2 platform successfully served the FPGA developer community, providing accessible online training for Lattice FPGA technologies. The platform's success led to its acquisition by Lattice Semiconductor, who integrated it into their official educational offerings. This validation demonstrates the platform's quality and the value it delivered to the FPGA development ecosystem.
