Test Automation Library for BMW Development

The Challenge

ESG Mobility GmbH (now part of Cognizant Mobility) needed to expand their C# test library capabilities for a BMW development project. The client required additional expertise to enhance their framework for handling both UI automation tests and REST API validation, with robust defect management integration.

Our Solution

As external consultants, we supported the development of the C# test library built on the NUnit framework. We contributed to the modular architecture design, enabling easy extension for new test scenarios, and helped implement automated test execution capabilities with defect tracking integration. Our role included providing documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure the client's team could maintain and extend the framework independently.

The Result

The enhanced test library was successfully integrated into BMW's development workflow through ESG Mobility. Our contributions helped enable systematic quality assurance across multiple application layers, from user interface validation to backend API verification. The modular design we helped develop allowed the testing team to rapidly create new test cases while maintaining consistency across the test suite.
