DTO Poker – GTO Training Platform

The Challenge

DTO Poker LTD, based in Edinburgh, UK, was developing an innovative poker training platform to help players master Game Theory Optimal (GTO) strategies. The platform needed a sophisticated frontend capable of visualizing complex poker scenarios, range matrices, hand histories, and real-time feedback—all while maintaining smooth performance across browser and mobile devices. The backend team was building a powerful API, but they needed experienced Angular developers to join their frontend team and help deliver a polished user experience.

Our Solution

As part of the DTO Poker development team, we contributed to building the Angular frontend that interfaces with their GTO calculation API. Our work included implementing interactive training components where players practice against a GTO bot, building the Explorer interface for browsing pre-calculated poker solutions, creating visualization components for range displays and strategy frequencies, developing performance tracking dashboards with aggregated reports, and implementing leaderboard features for competitive comparison. We followed the team's established architecture and coding standards while delivering production-ready features.

DTO Poker has become a leading GTO training platform serving poker players worldwide. The platform offers comprehensive training for both cash games and tournaments, including specialized features like ICM scenarios and 3-way simulations. With subscription tiers from free to professional, the platform serves everyone from beginners to top professional players who use it to prepare for high-stakes competitions.
